The Giants make the short trip down I-95 to face a Commanders squad that's equally inept on offense, and this one has all the makings of a Sunday afternoon snoozefest. Washington's averaging a paltry 22.0 points per game, the Giants even worse at 20.5, and now the Commanders are basically fielding a MASH unit at the skill positions. Stefon Diggs is out, Terry McLaurin is a coin flip with a hamstring issue, and backup QB Marcus Mariota won't even suit up. Good times.
The total has plummeted from 44.0 to 41.5, and sharp money is hammering the under for good reason. New York's defense has been their lone bright spot, surrendering just 19.75 per game, and divisional grudge matches in the NFC East have a habit of turning into ugly, three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust affairs. With Washington's receiving corps decimated and both offenses struggling to move the chains consistently, expect plenty of punts and field position battles.
DarkHorse is backing the under 41.5 with strong confidence (4/5), and it's hard to argue. These teams know each other too well, neither can score, and the Commanders might be trotting out a skeleton crew at wideout. Lock in the under and prepare for a defensive slugfest that won't threaten the scoreboard operator's job security.
