Patriots limp into Jacksonville with NFL's most anemic offense — can this total possibly stay above water?

The Patriots arrive in Duval County sporting an offense that makes watching paint dry seem thrilling. Through two weeks, New England has managed a pathetic 15.0 points per game with Tommy DeVito under center, averaging just 193 passing yards while their defense does all the heavy lifting. That elite unit has surrendered only 8.0 points per game, but you can't win many shootouts when your offense looks like it's operating in quicksand.
Jacksonville isn't exactly lighting up scoreboards either at 23.5 points per game, and their defense has been stout enough, allowing just 15.0 per contest. The Jaguars should control this one at home, but the real question is whether either team can find the end zone enough times to push this total over 46.
The math here is brutal for the over. New England would need to nearly double their scoring output just to reach their implied 21-22 points, and that's asking DeVito to suddenly discover competence he hasn't shown. Jacksonville might hit their number, but banking on the Patriots to contribute anything meaningful offensively feels like a sucker's bet.
DarkHorse likes the under 46.0 — and frankly, it's hard to argue when one team can barely move the chains. This one screams defensive slog.
