Thursday night football between two offenses that couldn't score in a pinball arcade. The Jets are averaging a pathetic 19.0 points per game, and now they're trotting out what amounts to a practice squad offense with Breece Hall, Adonai Mitchell, and two starting linemen all watching from the sideline. Good luck moving the ball with 225 yards passing and 84 rushing per game when you're at full strength—now try it with backups protecting a quarterback who's already seeing ghosts.

Cleveland's no offensive juggernaut either at 20.25 PPG, and their road shows have been particularly brutal at 16.5 points in two away contests. Both defenses are holding up their end (Jets 21.0 allowed, Browns 23.75), which is the only thing either fanbase can hang their hat on this season.

The total opened at 40.0 and has ticked down to 39.5 with sharp money hammering the Browns, which tells you the wise guys expect New York's injury-ravaged offense to sputter worse than anticipated. DarkHorse is riding the under 39.5 with strong confidence, and it's hard to argue. This has all the makings of a 17-13 slog that puts the prime-time audience to sleep by halftime. Bet the under and pray for punts.
