Welcome to the meaningless football portion of August, where coaches care more about roster bubble battles than your ticket. The Saints roll into SoFi Stadium already down Alvin Kamara for the next month-plus with an MCL sprain, which means you're getting a heavy dose of Spencer Rattler handing off to camp bodies fighting for practice squad spots. The Rams just sleepwalked through a 20-12 preseason win with Ty Simpson and Stetson Bennett IV running the most vanilla offense this side of a Denny's menu. Expect more of the same tonight.

Late August preseason games are scoring graveyards. Starters get a series, maybe two if they've been naughty. Offensive coordinators aren't exactly dialing up the playbook's greatest hits when they're evaluating whether the fourth-string safety can cover a wheel route. The Rams have zero incentive to expose anything schematically, and the Saints are basically running a scrimmage with travel expenses.

DarkHorse is hammering the under 37.5 with strong conviction, and it's hard to argue. These teams combined might not score 37.5 points if they played into overtime. Preseason unders cash for a reason: nobody's trying, nobody's game-planning, and most importantly, nobody who can actually score is playing long enough to matter. Fade the points, trust the tedium.
