Jaguars Should Roll Over Banged-Up Texans in AFC South Clash

The Texans limp into Jacksonville carrying a 1-4 record and a laundry list of excuses, none of which will matter much when the Jaguars tee off Sunday afternoon. Houston's offense, already sputtering at 22.0 points per game, now loses starting running back David Montgomery to a groin injury—because things weren't bleak enough at 0-3 on the road. Meanwhile, the defense that's been hemorrhaging 30.0 PPG at home also waves goodbye to Jalen Pitre and Tank Dell, turning an already porous unit into Swiss cheese.

Jacksonville, by contrast, is humming. The Jags sit 4-1 and have turned their home field into a fortress, posting a ridiculous 29.3 PPG while allowing just 11.0 in three games at TIAA Bank Field. That's not a typo—eleven points per game at home. Houston's traveling circus has no answer for that kind of dominance, especially in a divisional scrap where familiarity breeds contempt and the better team usually covers.

DarkHorse AI likes Jacksonville laying 2.5 points with high confidence, and frankly, it feels generous. The Jaguars should control this wire-to-wire. Fade the Texans' misery, back the home team, and sleep easy. This one's got blowout written all over it.
