So much for vanilla schemes and conservative game management. The Bills hung 31 points on Cleveland in a preseason beatdown that sent our under 36.5 pick straight to the scrap heap. Final damage: Bills 31, Browns 7, and we're eating crow on this one.

The logic was sound—preseason Week 2 typically features limited starters, backup quarterback chaos, and scores that barely crack 20 combined. Cleveland's offense had been lifeless, and we expected Buffalo to follow suit with Josh Allen on a pitch count. Instead, the Bills' depth chart decided to audition for the regular season, putting together efficient scoring drives that made Cleveland's defense look lost.

The Browns delivered their part of the bargain with another offensive dud, managing just seven points and confirming every concern about their anemic attack. But Buffalo's backups had other plans, shredding Cleveland for 31 and pushing the total to 38—a full field goal over our number.

Credit where it's due: we got one team right and one catastrophically wrong. When your under bet needs both offenses to sleepwalk and only one cooperates, you're toast. The Bills' second and third stringers played like they had something to prove, and our bankroll paid the price. Tough loss, but that's preseason chaos for you.
