Lions limp into Indy with their clipboard — Goff's watching from the sideline while Colts give Richardson a cameo before the vanilla parade begins

Week 3 of the preseason: where starters get their participation trophies and third-stringers audition for practice squads. Detroit's already waved the white flag on Jared Goff, so expect Hendon Hooker and whoever else survived camp to sling it for the visitors. Indianapolis will trot out Anthony Richardson Sr. for a series or two — just enough to remind everyone he exists — before Sam Ehlinger and the depth chart leftovers take over.
Context matters here: the Colts have been offensively anemic all preseason, posting 6 and 13 points in their last two outings for a ghastly 9.5 PPG average. Detroit's backups scraped together 17 and 14, hardly lighting up the scoreboard themselves. Neither coaching staff is dialing up their Super Bowl playbook; this is pure roster evaluation mode, where running the ball into a wall and avoiding injuries are the only objectives.
DarkHorse likes the under 36.5, and frankly, it's hard to argue. These teams combined might struggle to crack 30 if half the game features guys who'll be selling insurance by October. Preseason finales are grinder specials, and this total feels inflated by four to six points. Bet the under, crack a cold one, and enjoy watching future car salesmen battle for roster scraps.
