The Angels flew into Camden Yards and promptly forgot how to hit, dropping a pedestrian 5-2 decision to the Orioles on Tuesday night. Baltimore did what good home teams do—capitalized early, played clean baseball, and sent the visitors packing without much drama.

The Orioles jumped ahead and never looked back, building enough cushion that the Angels' late-inning courtesy runs felt more like a participation trophy than a legitimate threat. Los Angeles managed just two runs against Baltimore's staff, which isn't going to cut it against anyone, let alone an Orioles squad that's been finding its groove at home.

Credit where it's due: Baltimore's pitching kept the Angels' lineup in check all night, and the offense did just enough to make it comfortable. Meanwhile, the Halos looked listless at the plate, stranding runners and failing to manufacture anything resembling momentum.

DarkHorse didn't publish a pick here, which in retrospect looks like dodging a bullet—this game had "stay away" written all over it. The Angels continue to search for answers, while the Orioles keep stacking wins the old-fashioned way: solid pitching, timely hitting, and taking care of business at home. Final score: Orioles 5, Angels 2. Next.
