Braves +1.5 the Smart Side Despite Last Night's Stumble in NLDS Rematch

The Dodgers took last night's opener 3-1, but don't let recency bias cloud the bigger picture here. Atlanta owns this season series 6-2, outscoring LA by nearly a run and a half per game (4.0 to 2.75), and tonight they're sending out the superior starter by a country mile. Tyler Mahle's 1.99 ERA versus Tyler Glasnow's 3.53 is a 1.54 gap that screams Atlanta should be favored, yet the Dodgers sit at -148 on the moneyline. That's pure reputation pricing.

Sure, LA's offense has more star power and they're riding momentum from yesterday, but this is an even matchup masquerading as a Dodgers advantage. When you've got the better pitcher and home field, getting +1.5 is a gift. The run line covers roughly 64% of the time in spots like this, and we're getting paid to take it.

The Dodgers haven't solved Mahle's riddle all year, and one game doesn't erase six months of Atlanta dominance in this head-to-head. Glasnow's been hittable enough to keep the Braves in striking distance, and that extra run-and-a-half cushion is all we need. Braves +1.5 is the sharper side tonight—fade the public love affair with Dodger Blue and bank the value.
