The Brewers walked into Chavez Ravine and walked out with a 5-4 victory over the Dodgers, proving once again that October baseball doesn't care about your regular season résumé. Milwaukee scraped together just enough offense to outlast LA in a game that felt closer than the one-run margin suggests.

This wasn't some offensive explosion—both clubs traded punches through the middle innings before the Brewers found that decisive fifth run. The Dodgers had their chances, no question, but couldn't deliver the knockout blow when it mattered most. Credit Milwaukee's pitching staff for bending without breaking when LA threatened late.

The Dodgers' lineup, stacked as it is, left runners stranded at the worst possible moments. That's baseball in a nutshell—you can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't cash in with men on base, you're booking tee times early. Meanwhile, the Brewers played smart, situational baseball and got contributions up and down the order.

DarkHorse didn't publish a pick here, so we're just spectators on this one. But if you had Milwaukee getting plus money on the road? Pour one out tonight. The Brew Crew just reminded everyone why they're dangerous when the lights get bright.
