White Sox Look to Keep Guardians Cold in Progressive Park

The White Sox just blanked Cleveland 3-0 two days ago, and now they waltz back into Progressive Park hoping to make it two straight against a Guardians squad that suddenly can't buy a run. That shutout loss has to sting for Cleveland, especially at home where they're supposed to own October. The Pale Hose pitching staff clearly found something in that last meeting—whether it was exploiting Cleveland's recent offensive slump or just catching them on a bad night, the recipe worked.

Here's the thing: the Guardians have been maddeningly inconsistent down the stretch, and getting blanked at home is the kind of result that either wakes a team up or sends them spiraling. Chicago, meanwhile, has nothing to lose and everything to prove. They've got momentum, they've got confidence, and they just proved they can silence this lineup when it matters.

Cleveland needs to respond fast or risk letting this series slip away. The bats have to wake up, plain and simple. For Chicago, it's about riding that wave—can they replicate the pitching dominance and timely hitting that stole Game 1?

DarkHorse hasn't weighed in yet, but the sharp money will be watching how Cleveland's lineup adjusts. This one's got all the makings of a statement game for somebody.
