The Twins limp into Petco Park on Saturday trying to salvage something after getting boat-raced 6-2 last night. San Diego's bats woke up when it mattered, and Minnesota's pitching staff looked about as sharp as a butter knife. Now they've got to figure out how to stop the bleeding before this weekend series turns into a full-on disaster.

Here's the thing: the Padres have home-field momentum and just reminded everyone they can score in bunches when the lineup clicks. The Twins, meanwhile, managed just two runs and looked lifeless doing it. Unless Minnesota's starter can keep San Diego's order off-balance early, we're looking at another long afternoon for the visitors.

The Stable doesn't have an official play on this one yet from DarkHorse AI, so we're flying blind on the sharper angles. But the eye test says the Padres have the juice right now. They're comfortable at home, they just put up a crooked number, and the Twins are reeling. Minnesota needs their bats to show up in a hurry, or this series is over before Sunday's first pitch.

Expect San Diego to press their advantage. The Twins better have an answer, or it's going to be a quiet flight home.
