Giants Limp Into Chavez Ravine After Getting Boat-Raced

The Giants roll back into Dodger Stadium less than 24 hours after getting absolutely shellacked 10-4, and you have to wonder if they even bothered unpacking. Friday night was a clinic in how not to pitch in a division rivalry—Los Angeles put up a crooked number early and never looked back, turning this into a laugher by the fifth inning.

Now San Francisco has to shake off the cobwebs and somehow find a way to keep this from becoming a full-blown September sweep. The problem? Momentum is a hell of a drug, and the Dodgers are riding high after dismantling their NorCal rivals in every phase of the game. LA's lineup looked locked in, the pitching staff was sharp, and the home crowd was absolutely buzzing.

For the Giants, this is about damage control. They need length from their starter, some timely hitting, and a whole lot of amnesia about what just happened. The Dodgers, meanwhile, will be looking to pile on and make a statement as the calendar flips toward October.

DarkHorse hasn't weighed in with a pick yet, so you're flying solo on this one. But if you're backing San Francisco after that beatdown, you better have a strong stomach and an even stronger read on their bounce-back potential.
