The Diamondbacks did exactly what we needed them to do Thursday night, taking down the Dodgers 4-2 and cashing our +1.5 ticket with room to spare. Los Angeles came into Chase Field reeling at 1-4 in their last five and bleeding runs at over five per game, and Arizona made them pay for it.

Eduardo Rodriguez delivered on his 2.71 ERA billing, giving the D-backs the pitching edge we banked on when we flagged that moderate 0.60 ERA advantage over Justin Wrobleski. That gap wasn't big enough to lay juice on either side, but it was plenty to trust Arizona's arms at home where they've been a respectable 6-4 over their last ten. The Dodgers' bats stayed cold, managing just two runs against a staff that's been far steadier than LA's shaky recent form suggested they could handle.

We called it an even matchup where the slight underdog deserved the cushion, and the Diamondbacks proved us right by winning outright at +132. No drama, no sweat on the runline — just a clean two-run margin and another W in the books. When the numbers say take the dog, take the dog.
