Real Salt Lake is limping to the finish line, and St. Louis CITY SC smells blood. The visitors roll into Utah riding the West's second-best record (9-1-5 in their last 15) while RSL has turned into a punching bag at the worst possible time — 2-9-4 in that same stretch with goal differentials that look like crime scene photos. These two played to a 1-1 snoozefest back in August, but that was a different RSL team. This version is leaking goals (1.71 xGA per game) and can't finish dinner, let alone chances.

St. Louis holds the edge in every metric that matters. They're creating better chances (1.768 xG for versus RSL's 1.545) and actually converting them (1.87 goals per game). Meanwhile, Salt Lake's defense has become Swiss cheese, conceding 1.71 xG per match while their attack sputters. The market's giving you St. Louis at 33.3% implied probability, which feels generous considering the form chasm between these sides.

DarkHorse is backing St. Louis CITY SC on the moneyline at moderate confidence. RSL's home cooking won't save them from this buzzsaw. The visitors should collect three points and keep their playoff positioning humming along nicely.
