The 401 Derby returns to BMO Field, and if you're expecting fireworks, you haven't been paying attention. These two sides sleepwalked to a 0-0 stalemate back in July, and everything about Saturday's rematch screams déjà vu.

Start with the finishing woes. Toronto's converting 1.44 goals per game despite creating 1.34 xG — barely above water. Montréal? Even worse. They're manufacturing 1.54 xG per match but only burying 1.26 actual goals. That's a lot of shots sailing over the bar or straight at the keeper. Recent form backs it up: Toronto's managed 1.4 goals per game over their last five, while Montréal limps in at a paltry 0.8.

Now factor in the personnel headaches. Toronto's missing defensive anchor Walker Zimmerman and creative spark Nelson Palacio. Montréal counters without Bode Hidalgo and Brayan Ceballos. Both squads are coming off identical 14-day layoffs — enough time to lose sharpness but not enough to get healthy.

DarkHorse is backing under 3.0 goals here, and it's hard to argue. When two offensively challenged teams meet with depleted rosters and rust to shake off, you get exactly what we saw in July: a whole lot of midfield stalemate and not much else. Bring a pillow.
