Well, that was painful. FC Dallas and LA Galaxy served up a scoreless draw that made watching paint dry seem thrilling by comparison. The over 3.0 pick? Dead on arrival, and it wasn't even close.

This one had all the makings of a shootout on paper. Dallas came in averaging 1.88 goals per game with solid underlying numbers, while Galaxy's leaky defense had been hemorrhaging goals at home. Both sides showed they could score when these teams drew 2-2 earlier this season. The math screamed goals. The pitch whispered "no thanks."

Instead, we got ninety minutes of toothless possession, wayward crosses, and defensive stands that looked more accidental than intentional. Galaxy's attack, supposedly due for positive regression after underperforming their xG, continued their frustrating trend of creating little and finishing worse. Dallas's road form caught up with them, looking nothing like the team that had been averaging 1.8 goals over their previous five.

Credit where it's due—both backlines showed up when it mattered. But let's be honest: this wasn't defensive mastery, it was offensive incompetence. Sometimes the numbers lie, and sometimes both teams just forget how to play football. Tonight was emphatically the latter.
