Seattle's Walking Wounded Host RSL in a Race to the Bottom

This one's got all the makings of a midweek slog nobody asked for. Seattle limps into Lumen Field having scored exactly one goal per game over their last 15 matches—a stat so grim it barely qualifies as an attack. Real Salt Lake? Even worse. They've managed 0.6 goals per game over their last five, dropping to a pathetic 0.88 on the road. Both sides are absolutely gutted by injuries and international call-ups, turning what should be a competitive Western Conference clash into a MASH unit scrimmage.

The Sounders are without Joveljić, Ferreira, de la Vega, and Rothrock—basically their entire creative spine. RSL counters by missing Luna, Sanabria, Glad, and both Arias and Engel. It's less a soccer match than a game of "who's left on the bench?"

The underlying numbers don't inspire confidence either. Seattle's xG sits at 1.57 for and 1.73 against per game; RSL's nearly identical at 1.56 and 1.74. That projects a combined 2.8-3.0 goals, but recent form screams both attacks are underperforming even those modest expectations.
