New England rolled into Audi Field and delivered their most convincing performance in weeks, dismantling D.C. United 3-0 in a result that made our under 2.5 pick look foolish by halftime. So much for recent form and tepid xG projections—the Revs came out hungry and put this one to bed early.

The visitors struck twice before the break, exploiting a D.C. backline that looked every bit as porous as their league-worst defensive numbers suggested. New England's attack, averaging a meager 1.4 goals over their previous five, suddenly rediscovered its pulse against a United side that simply had no answers. The third goal in the second half was academic, sealing the clean sheet and handing D.C. another miserable night at home.

Our under 2.5 call banked on both offenses staying stuck in neutral, and while D.C. held up their end of the bargain by failing to score yet again, New England had other ideas. Credit where it's due—they capitalized on a vulnerable opponent and made us pay for underestimating their upside. The 1-0 snoozefest from the first meeting? Ancient history. This was a statement win for the Revs and a brutal reminder that sometimes the worst offenses wake up at the worst possible time.
