The California Clasico delivered all the offensive fireworks of a wet matchbook, and DarkHorse nailed it. LA Galaxy escaped with a 1-0 victory over San Jose in a match that validated every pessimistic word of our under 3.5 call. One goal. Total. This wasn't soccer — it was trench warfare with corner flags.

Galaxy's finishing woes continued in spectacular fashion, somehow scraping together a single goal despite their season-long inability to convert chances into actual results. San Jose, missing half their midfield and leaking 2.6 goals-per-game in recent weeks, somehow kept it respectable by simply existing on the pitch. Both attacks looked exactly as toothless as advertised: no Klauss, no Reus, no Vieira, no Gonzalez, no problem for our under ticket.

The Earthquakes managed zero goals for the second time this season against LA, while the Galaxy's anemic home form (0.86 goals-per-game) nearly bit them again. This was the low-event grind we forecasted, a match defined more by what didn't happen than what did.

DarkHorse called it a "low-event grind" in our original analysis. Nailed it. The under 3.5 cashed with room to spare, and anyone who watched this match deserves hazard pay. Ugly wins count, and so do easy covers.
