Well, that was disappointing. FC Cincinnati and Orlando City SC limped to a 1-1 draw at Exploria Stadium, turning what looked like a goal-fest on paper into a defensive slog that left over bettors — including DarkHorse's over 4.0 call — holding the bag.

The numbers promised fireworks. Cincinnati had been averaging 3.6 goals over their last five matches, while both defenses had been leaking chances like sieves all season. Their previous meeting delivered eight goals. Eight! Instead, we got two. The final whistle blew with a combined xG that barely justified the actual scoreline, let alone the explosion we anticipated.

Credit where it's due: both backlines showed up when it mattered, or maybe the attackers left their shooting boots on the team bus. Either way, Cincinnati's road form continues to frustrate, and Orlando couldn't capitalize on home cooking despite their recent uptick in scoring.

The over 4.0 miss stings because the underlying metrics screamed goals. Sometimes the beautiful game is ugly, and tonight was one of those nights. Two goals from two teams averaging nearly five combined per match? That's not variance — that's a heist. DarkHorse's pick crashes and burns in central Florida, and there's no sugarcoating a result this flat.
