Trail Blazers Roll Into Sacramento Looking to Punish Kings Again

The Kings are broken, and Portland knows it. Two days after dismantling opponents with a blistering 120.5 offensive efficiency, the Blazers return to Sacramento where they already hung 110 on this dysfunctional Kings squad eleven days ago. That wasn't a fluke—it was a blueprint.

Sacramento's offense is a disaster. A 92.9 offensive rating and 42.4% shooting from the floor isn't NBA basketball; it's a layup line gone wrong. Meanwhile, their defense allowed 121 points per 103.3 possessions in the opener, which means Dame and Ja are about to eat. When you pair Lillard's floor generalship with Morant's explosive penetration against a Kings team that can't score or stop anyone, you get a mismatch that Vegas might still be undervaluing.

Both teams had two days rest, so throw out any schedule sympathy. This is pure talent separation. Portland's dual-threat backcourt should carve up Sacramento's porous defense while the Kings sputter through another offensive trainwreck. DarkHorse likes the Blazers laying 8.5, and frankly, it feels light given the efficiency chasm. Sacramento needs to prove they can function as an NBA offense before we give them any respect in a spread this manageable. Fade the Kings until further notice.
