The Spurs looked absolutely cooked in their opener, stumbling to a brutal 97.2 offensive rating while shooting 38.7% from the floor and a ghastly 27.0% from deep. Now they're catching the Rockets minus Tobias Harris and possibly without De'Aaron Fox—not exactly the recipe for a bounce-back spot against Kevin Durant and company.

Houston's new-look squad featuring KD, Jabari Smith Jr., and Alperen Sengun torched their opening opponent with a blistering 132.0 offensive rating, draining 53.4% from the field and 44.4% from three. That's not small-sample noise—that's three elite offensive players operating in space with real chemistry already evident. The Rockets look like a legitimate problem out West, and the Spurs look like they're still figuring out which end is up.

DarkHorse has Houston at +5.5 with strong confidence, and it's easy to see why. This line opened at +7.5 and has already steamed two full points toward the Rockets as sharp money recognizes the talent mismatch. Getting nearly a touchdown with the clearly superior team? In San Antonio's building or not, that's a gift. The Spurs might keep it respectable at home, but Houston should cover this number comfortably—if not win outright.
