Bulls host Wizards in a slugfest nobody asked for but bettors should love

Saturday night at the United Center brings us two exhausted squads limping into a back-to-back disaster waiting to happen. The Bulls just embarrassed themselves shooting 32.1% from the field and a comical 12.1% from deep — the kind of offensive meltdown that screams tired legs and broken offensive rhythm. Now they get Washington on zero rest, and the Wizards arrive without AJ Dybantsa, forcing more minutes onto Anthony Davis and Trae Young in what should be a pace-killing grind.

Here's the thing about back-to-backs: historically, they shave 3-5 combined points off totals because nobody can shoot straight when their legs are dead. Chicago's offensive execution is already in the gutter, and Washington's star-heavy rotation without Dybantsa means deeper bench minutes and more possessions that go nowhere. The Bulls will lean on defensive intensity to compensate for their shooting woes, and the Wizards don't have the depth to run them off the floor.

DarkHorse is riding the under 243.5 with strong confidence, and it's hard to argue. This game has all the makings of a rock fight — two teams playing their second game in as many nights, one missing a key piece, the other unable to find the ocean from the beach. Expect a low-possession slugfest that stays comfortably under the number.
