Kraken Hunt Value in Sunrise as Panthers Limp Into Saturday Banged Up

The Panthers are a mess right now, and Seattle knows opportunity when it smells it. Florida's missing three forwards who actually matter—Barkov, Marchand, and Gadjovich all sidelined—while backup Markstrom joins them on IR. That leaves Akira Schmid between the pipes, and through the early going he's been about as reliable as a screen door on a submarine: .876 save percentage, 3.25 goals against. Not exactly Bobrovsky numbers.

Meanwhile, the Kraken roll into Sunrise riding a legitimately competent start. Joey Daccord has been steady (.913 SV%, 2.74 GAA), and Seattle's offense is humming at nearly four goals per game with a solid 5-3 record overall and 4-2 on the road. They're not world-beaters, but they don't need to be—not against this version of Florida.

The line opened at Kraken +150, which feels like the book begging you to take Florida's name recognition. Don't. This isn't last year's Panthers squad skating at full strength. It's a depleted roster leaning on a goalie who's leaking goals, facing a road team that's been better than advertised. Seattle's got the goaltending edge, the health advantage, and frankly the momentum. At plus-money, the Kraken are the play. Take Seattle ML and don't overthink it.
