Wild limp into Winnipeg on zero rest but bring the league's stingiest defense

The Wild roll into Canada Life Centre on fumes—second night of a back-to-back—but they've got something the Jets can't seem to find: a defense that actually shows up. Minnesota's surrendered just 1.83 goals per game this season and a miserly 2.0 on the road, while Winnipeg's home ice has been a shooting gallery at 3.67 goals allowed per contest. That's not a typo.

Sure, Stuart Skinner's been decent between the pipes for the Jets (.920 save percentage, 2.62 GAA), but he's getting shelled at home and the team in front of him is leaking oil at 3.0 goals against overall. Meanwhile, the Wild are riding a two-game win streak and playing with the kind of structure that wins ugly road games even when the legs are heavy.

Winnipeg's 1-2 at home. Minnesota's defense travels. The betting market sees a pick'em at -110 both ways, but that feels generous to the home side given the underlying numbers. DarkHorse likes the Wild moneyline here—moderate confidence, sure, because fatigue is real—but when one team defends like a playoff contender and the other bleeds chances like a sieve, you take the disciplined road dog every time. Wild find a way to grind this one out.
