The Freeway Series heats up again as Anaheim heads to Crypto.com Arena just three days after dropping a narrow 2-1 decision to their Southern California rivals. That Monday night affair was a defensive slog, the kind of low-event hockey that makes under bettors smile and offensive coordinators pull their hair out.

Now the Ducks get their immediate revenge shot, and you have to wonder if they'll come out with more urgency after getting stonewalled. One goal against the Kings isn't going to cut it, especially when you're trying to establish any kind of momentum in this rivalry. The question is whether Anaheim's attack can generate more dangerous chances or if LA's defensive structure continues to suffocate them.

For the Kings, they've got to feel good about their blueprint from the first meeting. Keep it tight, limit mistakes, capitalize on the chances you get. If they can replicate that formula, they're in excellent position to sweep the home-and-home set and make an early statement in the Pacific Division pecking order.

The DarkHorse AI hasn't weighed in yet on this one, so we're flying blind on the algorithmic angle. But common sense says the Kings have the edge at home after already proving they can solve the Ducks' puzzle. Expect another grinding affair with goals at a premium.
