The Braves got absolutely shellacked 10-3 last night, and now they need to figure out how to stop the bleeding against a Diamondbacks squad that just put up double-digit runs at Truist Park. That's not the kind of statement you want visiting teams making in your building, especially not in mid-August when every game matters.

Atlanta's pitching staff got lit up like a pinball machine in the opener, and the offense couldn't keep pace despite playing at home where they're supposed to have the advantage. Arizona's bats are clearly locked in right now, riding the momentum of a dominant performance that saw them score early and often. When a team hangs ten on you, it's either a complete meltdown on the mound or the opposition is seeing beach balls up there.

The Braves need their starter to eat innings and give the bullpen a breather after what was likely a long night of damage control. Arizona will be feeling themselves after that beatdown, looking to take the series before heading home. Atlanta's in a tough spot here – they're the home favorite that just got embarrassed, and now they have to prove last night was an aberration rather than a sign of things to come. Expect Atlanta to come out swinging, but can their pitching hold up?
