The Rangers stumble back into Minute Maid Park for round two of this series, and if yesterday's 11-2 beatdown wasn't humiliating enough, tonight's pitching matchup suggests more pain is coming. Kumar Rocker takes the ball for Houston sporting a 4.03 ERA and 1.29 WHIP—serviceable numbers that look downright elite compared to what Texas is trotting out there. Peter Lambert counters with a 3.06 ERA and 1.15 WHIP, giving the Astros nearly a full run advantage in expected starter performance. That's not a typo, folks.

Texas has dropped four straight and looks utterly lost on the road at 2-6 away from Arlington. Meanwhile, Houston is scorching hot with five consecutive wins, and they're clearly smelling blood in the water against a division rival that can't get out of its own way. The Astros just hung 11 runs on these same Rangers yesterday—momentum matters, especially in baseball.

DarkHorse is backing Houston at -126, which translates to roughly 56% implied probability. Given the starting pitching gap, the red-hot home team, and Texas's road woes, that's a reasonable number with some edge baked in. The Rangers need to prove they can compete right now, and nothing suggests they're ready to flip the script tonight.
