Dodgers Look to Bounce Back After Wrigley Beatdown

The Dodgers rolled into Wrigley yesterday and got their teeth kicked in, 10-5, which means today's matinee carries that lovely "prove it" energy LA hates dealing with in August. The Cubs are feeling themselves right now after hanging a five-spot margin on one of the NL's best, and that home crowd will be buzzing for the series finale.

Here's the thing: the Dodgers don't stay down long. They've got the roster depth to shrug off a clunker and the veteran presence to avoid back-to-back embarrassments. But the Cubs just showed they can run with the big dogs when the bats wake up, and Wrigley in summer is a different animal when Chicago smells blood. LA's bullpen got torched yesterday, so if their starter can't give them length, we might see some tired arms trying to navigate a lineup that just put up double digits.

The question is simple: does LA come out swinging with that championship pedigree, or do the Cubs ride the momentum and take the series? No DarkHorse pick published yet, but this feels like a classic "how much do you trust the favorite's pride" spot. Expect the Dodgers to tighten up, but don't sleep on Chicago making this interesting late.
