The Royals stumbled into Fenway and got their doors blown off 5-1 last night, failing to cover the +1.5 spread that looked generous on paper. Now they're staring down another afternoon in Boston trying to salvage some dignity before this series gets completely away from them.

Kansas City's offense went cold at the worst time, managing just one run against a Red Sox squad that's been finding its groove down the stretch. Boston's bats are clicking, and playing at home in September has always been a different animal for this club—Fenway crowds get loud, pitchers feed off it, and visiting teams tend to wilt under the pressure.

The Royals need to show up with some urgency here. Their pitching staff has to keep this from turning into another runaway, and the lineup has to manufacture something against a Red Sox rotation that's been stingy lately. But momentum matters, and right now it's all wearing red socks.

DarkHorse AI hasn't weighed in on today's matchup yet, so we're flying blind on the sharp angle. But after watching Kansas City fold like a lawn chair yesterday, you've got to wonder if they've got the grit to punch back or if Boston just runs the table this weekend.
