Brewers Look to Sweep After Demolishing Rays 10-1 in Opener

The Brewers just put on an absolute clinic at the Trop, dismantling Tampa Bay 10-1 in yesterday's series opener and cashing as modest underdogs for anyone who tailed DarkHorse's pick. Now Milwaukee smells blood in the water as they go for the two-game sweep tonight.

That wasn't just a win—it was a statement. The Crew hung double digits on a Rays squad that suddenly looks lost at the plate and helpless on the mound. When you boat-race a team by nine runs, the psychological edge heading into the next day is massive, especially in late October when every game carries postseason implications.

Tampa's got to be reeling. Getting embarrassed at home like that shakes confidence, and unless they've got an ace on the bump tonight capable of completely resetting the tone, Milwaukee will be licking their chops for another feast. The Brewers' lineup is clearly seeing the ball well in this building, and momentum is a hell of a drug this time of year.

DarkHorse hasn't dropped a pick for tonight yet, but don't be shocked if the sharp money follows yesterday's script. The Rays need to prove they can stop the bleeding before anyone should trust them to bounce back. Until then, Milwaukee's got all the swagger.
