Twenty-four hours after dropping a tight one in Denver, Dallas gets an immediate crack at revenge—and the betting line just handed us a gift. The Stars are catching plus-money again despite bringing the superior netminder into a back-to-back situation that should level this playing field considerably.

Here's the setup: both clubs played yesterday, both are gassed, but only one team gets Casey DeSmith between the pipes. The Dallas backup has been sharp (.923 save percentage) while Colorado counters with Scott Wedgewood, who's been leakier than a rusted bucket at .897. In a coin-flip game where legs are heavy and execution gets sloppy, goaltending becomes everything.

The kicker? Cale Makar remains out on personal leave, robbing the Avalanche of their best defenseman for a second straight night. Meanwhile, Dallas has been a defensive fortress early on, surrendering just 1.67 goals per game through their opening stretch. That structure doesn't vanish overnight, even on tired legs.

Sure, we whiffed on the Stars yesterday at minus-money, but the math has actually improved. Getting Dallas at +125 with the goaltending edge and Colorado's blue line compromised? That's value the sharp money will hammer. Back-to-backs are great equalizers, and this one sets up beautifully for the road dog to bark back.

DarkHorse lean: Stars +125
