The Paddock Report: Ducks visit Calgary, and the Flames already have one win on the books

Ducks at Flames, November 6. Calgary has already beaten Anaheim this season, and the October 13 meeting is the starting point for anyone trying to get a read on this one. The Flames won 4-2 that night, and our desk's pick on that game, Flames +170, cashed. One result is one result, though, and it doesn't settle anything about this rematch.

Here's what we know: Calgary has the edge in the only meeting we have to go on this season. That's the whole evidence file for this preview. We haven't published a side for this game, so there's no DarkHorse pick to chase yet. That's deliberate. We won't write a preview that flatters a number we haven't earned.

What to watch: whether Calgary plays with the same edge it showed in October, and whether Anaheim answers a two-goal loss with a sharper game or just more frustration. A 4-2 final tells you the Flames found enough offense and held the margin. It doesn't tell you how the Ducks adjust, and that's the question the market will be pricing before puck drop.

Keep an eye on this thread. When the desk posts a call, it'll show up here first. Until then, do your homework, shop your lines, and don't mistake October's ticket for November's edge.
