The Maple Leafs roll into the Saddledome on Monday night looking to keep their early-season momentum going against a Flames squad that's still trying to find its identity. Toronto's been the sharper team out of the gate, and Calgary's home ice hasn't exactly been a fortress lately—this sets up as a classic "prove it" spot for the home side.

Matthews and company have been clicking offensively, and if the Leafs' top line gets going early, Calgary's goaltending situation could get uncomfortable in a hurry. The Flames need their depth forwards to show up and create some chaos in front of the net, because trying to trade chances with Toronto's firepower is a losing proposition most nights.

Special teams could swing this one. Toronto's power play has been lethal, while Calgary's penalty kill has been leaky enough to exploit. If the Flames take undisciplined penalties—always a risk when they're chasing the game—this could get out of hand.

DarkHorse hasn't published a pick yet, so we're flying blind on the sharp money for now. But the eye test says Toronto has more weapons and better goaltending consistency right now. Calgary needs a statement performance at home, but wanting it and getting it are two different things. Leafs should have the edge if they stay disciplined.
