Avalanche Offense vs. Hellebuyck-less Jets: Can Colorado Cover Again?

The Avalanche roll into Winnipeg riding a ridiculous offensive wave—14 goals through two games, a 7.0 goals-per-game clip that's unsustainable but very real right now. Colorado already torched the Jets 5-2 back on September 25th, and the circumstances haven't improved for Winnipeg. Connor Hellebuyck remains on IR, forcing the Jets to trot out backup goaltending against one of the league's most explosive attacks. Hellebuyck's .895 save percentage from last season wasn't exactly Vezina-caliber to begin with, and whoever's minding the net tonight faces a buzzsaw.

DarkHorse likes Avalanche -1.5 at +135, a bet that asks Colorado to win by two or more. It's a narrow window—early October sample sizes are microscopic, and backup goalies can occasionally stand on their heads—but the matchup screams blowout potential. The Avs have the firepower, the Jets are compromised in the crease, and we've already seen this movie once this month.

Confidence sits at 2 out of 5, which is honest given the small sample and goalie uncertainty. But if you're hunting plus-money on a team that's averaging seven goals a night against a depleted opponent? This is your spot. Colorado should handle business—question is whether they bury Winnipeg by two.
