The Hawks welcome a Heat squad that's stumbled out of the gate at 0-4, and the numbers tell a brutal story. Miami's offensive efficiency sits at a ghastly 102.9 — that's not winning basketball in 2026 — while their -12.75 net rating screams "dumpster fire." What's worse? They've been torched at home, surrendering 124 points per game in three losses at FTX Arena. This star-heavy roster simply hasn't clicked.

Atlanta isn't exactly lighting the world on fire either, but their 113.9 offensive efficiency and 31.5 assists per game show a team that's moving the ball and creating quality looks. That playmaking advantage over Miami's 24.75 assists per contest matters, especially when the Heat can't buy a bucket right now.

DarkHorse likes the Hawks -2.5 here with moderate confidence, and it's hard to argue. Yes, the line dropped from -3.5 — sharp money creeping toward Miami — but sometimes the sharps are wrong. Atlanta's at home, Miami's offense is broken, and 2.5 points feels generous given the efficiency chasm between these clubs.

The Heat will eventually figure it out, but Wednesday night in Atlanta probably isn't the night. Hawks cover, and it shouldn't be particularly stressful.
