Welcome to the NBA's least glamorous stage: preseason game four, where rotations go to die and coaches protect their assets like Fort Knox guards gold. The Bucks and Pacers close exhibition play Friday night, and if you're expecting playoff intensity, adjust those expectations downward—fast.

Milwaukee sat their entire projected starting five Wednesday, and there's zero indication Rollins, Herro, Jaquez, Kuzma, or Turner will suddenly log heavy minutes in a meaningless finale. Indiana's playing the same game, holding out Nembhard, Nesmith, Walker, and McConnell while managing everyone else with kid gloves. What you're getting is 18-25 minutes of starters mixed with extended auditions for guys who'll be in Fort Wayne by Halloween.

The betting market hasn't fully digested this reality. That 233.5 total sits near regular-season averages when it should be accounting for preseason offensive chaos—missed rotations, zero defensive intensity from fringe roster guys trying not to get hurt, and possessions that look like pickup ball at LA Fitness.

DarkHorse likes the under 233.5 at medium confidence, and it's hard to argue. Camp bodies don't generate efficient offense, and neither team has incentive to push pace or hunt good looks. Expect a sloppy, disjointed affair that stays comfortably south of this inflated number.
